長江口旅游度假區（瀏河鎮）是沿江臨滬的全國重點鎮，鎮域面積68平方公里，設1個管理區，轄8個行政村、8個社區，常住人口約10萬人。2012年9月，經江蘇省人民政府同意，設立江蘇省太倉長江口旅游度假區。2014年8月，瀏河鎮與長江口旅游度假區實行“區政合一”管理體制。2017年11月，入選江蘇省第二批經濟發達鎮行政管理體制改革序列，2019年8月，通過省級評估驗收。近年來，瀏河鎮深入貫徹新發展理念，圍繞高質量建設“全域旅游的濱江田園城鎮”目標，堅持高質量發展路徑，形成以高端裝備制造、先進材料等為主導的工業體系。同時積極整合“江南水鄉古鎮、三鮮特色美食、獨特江海文化”資源，全力建設長三角休閑旅游最優地。先后獲評國家衛生鎮、江蘇省歷史文化名鎮、江蘇省文明鎮、江蘇省健康鎮、蘇州市先鋒鎮等榮譽稱號。

The Yangtze River Estuary Tourist Resort (Liuhe Town) is a national key town along the Yangtze River and close to Shanghai. The town has an area of 68 square kilometers. It has one administrative district and governs 8 administrative villages and 8 communities. The permanent population is about 100,000. In September 2012, with the consent of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, the Taicang Yangtze River Estuary Tourist Resort in Jiangsu Province was established. In August 2014, Liuhe Town and the Yangtze River Estuary Tourist Resort implemented the management system of "integration of district and government". In November 2017, it was selected into the second batch of administrative management system reform sequences of economically developed towns in Jiangsu Province. In August 2019, it passed the provincial-level evaluation and acceptance. In recent years, Liuhe Town thoroughly implemented the new development concept, focused on the goal of high-quality construction of a "riverside pastoral town with all-for-one tourism", adhered to the path of high-quality development, and formed an industrial system dominated by high-end equipment manufacturing and advanced materials. At the same time, it actively integrates resources such as "ancient towns in the water towns of the south of the Yangtze River, three special delicacies, and unique river-sea culture", and makes every effort to build the best leisure tourism destination in the Yangtze River Delta. It has successively been awarded honorary titles such as a national health town, a famous historical and cultural town in Jiangsu Province, a civilized town in Jiangsu Province, a healthy town in Jiangsu Province, and a pioneer town in Suzhou.
